Chapter 8 - Data Updates and Corrections
There are two types of data. The first is flux/met 1/2 hourly data. This data is submitted by investigators (typically through their regional network) as files in a standard format. These files are then put through the standard processing and then are surfaced here on the fluxdata site when they have been authorized for inclusion in the fluxnet dataset. This first kind of data can be downloaded and checked but can not be updated using the fluxdata web site. Instead, updates should be handled via the path used to submit the data to Fluxnet in the first place.
The second type of data is biological, ancillary, and metadata about the site. This information is typically measured more sporadically. There are interfaces provided here to submit, correct, and update these values. The primary method for submitting and updating this information is using the "Ancillary Data Update" tab on the site.
